By accessing or using the InboxRisk website, checking tools, developer API endpoints, or community platforms (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you are prohibited from using the Services. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice.

2. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use our platform and APIs only for lawful purposes related to spam prevention, security auditing, and fraud protection. You strictly agree not to:

• Submit false, inaccurate, or malicious reports against legitimate individuals or businesses.
• Slam or abuse checker APIs with automated scripts to scrape threat database values.
• Reverse engineer our scoring algorithms or use checked indicators to develop competing services.
• Use the platform to harass, dox, or publish unredacted personal details of any individuals.

3. Community Submissions & Content

When you submit a report on `/report-scam-email`, you grant InboxRisk a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, modify, and distribute the submitted identifiers, descriptions, and screenshots for cybersecurity intelligence purposes. You represent that you have the right to share the evidence and that your submission is accurate. We reserve the right to remove any submission that violates our guidelines or contains private victim details.

4. Subscription, Credits, and Payments

Certain developer API resources and high-volume checks require purchased credits or paid monthly subscriptions. All payments are processed securely through our payment provider (Creem).

• Paid credits are non-refundable once consumed by API calls or checker runs.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled prior to the billing cycle.
• Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and will be issued if service failures occurred on our infrastructure.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The checking results, community threat ratings, and AI explanations are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to maintain the accuracy of our intelligence database, InboxRisk does not warrant that check results are 100% accurate, error-free, or that a positive check guarantees a safe transaction. You assume full responsibility for how you choose to act upon risk scores.
